This video, produced by STA, uses real street views from Nagoya, Himeji, and Fukuoka to introduce Kuroda Kanbei (Kuroda Yoshitaka), hailed as the greatest strategist of Japan's Sengoku period. From his birth and marriage, to the Siege of Miki, and his alliance with Kobayakawa Takakage to subdue western Japan, we uncover his brilliant mind and unwavering loyalty step by step.
💬 Toyotomi Hideyoshi once said, "If Kanbei had ambition, he could have taken the country even while I was still alive."
What kind of man was he really?
This episode focuses on the first half of Yoshitaka’s life and runs for over 40 minutes, filled with rich historical detail. We hope this deep dive helps more people understand who Kuroda Kanbei truly was. Please understand the length comes from our wish to do justice to the story.
